Community Center

The La Vista Community Center offers a variety of ways for you and your family to stay fit and enjoy recreational time together. The Community Center features 5 meeting rooms for rent and programming, a fitness center, racquetball & wallyball court, basketball court with 3 pickleball courts, and a game room. The Community Center is home to seniors and recreation programs offered daily and weekly. There are daily fees to utilize the basketball court and fitness center, and rental fees for the use of meeting rooms, pickleball courts, and racquetball & wallyball court.

Registration Process

To access the Community Center, every individual must register for free and receive a unique identification number. This number will be used for check-ins each time you visit.

For youth aged 10 - 15 years old, registration must be completed by a parent or guardian before they can use the facility independently. 

Please note that children aged 9 and under will not be issued an identification number and must always be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is at least 16 years old.

Fitness Center

The Fitness Center is open to ages 12 & up and is equipped with basic cardio and strength equipment. Ages 12 – 14 must have a responsible parent or adult guardian present during all workouts. Including dual cable station, Smith machine, dumbbells, treadmills, upright and recumbent bikes, row machine, and therapeutic cardio for rehabilitation. Daily drop in fees applies.

Open Gym

The Recreation Department is committed to coordinating Open Gym Time to provide a variety of opportunities for all ages 0 – 100 and abilities to recreation, socialize, and have fun. Each month we program the basketball courts at the Community Center with offerings like Preschool Playtime, Adult Basketball, Youth & Teen open gym time, and pickleball court rental opportunities. Daily drop in fees applies

Game Room

The Game Room is a hub of fun and entertainment for all ages and is open during Community Center’s hours of operation. From classic board games to pool and ping pong, there is something for everyone. The Game Room is the perfect place to unwind, socialize and have a blast. Come join us and let the games begin! There are no fees to utilize the game room. 

Facility Rentals

The Community Center offers 5 meeting rooms for residents, visitors, businesses and non-profits to rent for meetings, birthday parties, wedding showers, and much more. Rooms are available during hours of operation and must be booked and paid for at least 3 days in advance. 

Court Rentals

The Community Center has a racquetball/wallyball court and 3 pickleball courts that are available to rent. Racquetball/wallyball is available during hours of operation and pickleball courts are available during designated open gym times. Courts may be reserved up to 7 days in advance. Participants must bring their own equipment. Reservations may be made in person or over the phone at 402.331.3455.

Effective January 1, 2026: 3% convenience fee will be applied to all credit card transactions. This fee will only apply to payments made by credit card and will not affect cash, check, or other non-credit card payment methods. We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we work to manage operational costs while maintaining quality programs, facilities, and services for our community.
